MPEG support on Thinkpad and NT 4.0?

Has anybody heard about the upcomming MPEG support
for NT on Thinkspads like features and dates?

I heard that IBM is currently working on this but
have no idea when it will be available.

Since this would give the final touch to my system
and I wouldn't need to boot Windows 95 to play a MPEG
video I'm ver interested in this.
Are there maybe already beta (alpha-)drivers available?
I would volunteer for beta test them.
