The documentation for the latest BIOS for the 760ED, version 1.05,
states the following about what is fixed in version 1.05:
<1.05>
- (Fix) System intermittently hangs especially under communication
environments.
A fellow Thinkpad user says that this BIOS has solved their freezing
problems. I haven't put it on our Thinkpad but plan to in the next
two weeks, but I'm hoping this will close the book on this issue.
