Wanted: DEAD 701C battery

Does anybody have a completely dead 701 battery they would
part with for a couple of dollars?

   I am getting my battery replaced from IBM because my battery
life is pretty bad. But they want my old battery back.

   I'd much rather send them a totally dead battery and keep my
marginal battery as a spare. IBM just probably replaces
the cells anyways so all they likely use is the plastic.

   Any takers?
