I recently bought a used 701C running Win95.
Included w/the purchahse was a cable with a male clamp at either end, which
theoretically should allow me to transfer files by connecting LPT ports of
the TP and my desktop.
I'd like to try it, but until I get Win95 Direct Cable Connection applet
installed, that's not an option.
My problem is that even though I'm running Win95 (the TP I purchase came
with it installed) the prior owner did not put direct cable connection into
the accessories group, and I do not have an external CD player w/which to
install it from the CD version of win95 I own.
Anyone know if direct cable connection is downloadable from Microsoft web
page. If so, help locating it would be much appreciated.
Apart from that possible option, I'm looking for suggestions to acquire
direct cable connection without having to purchase an external CD or a
PCMCIA ethernet card to access a network. Thanks!
