Re: "Cursor Creep"

As far as creepy things go, my experience has been this .
I read somewhere that the Trackpoint will occasionally re-calibrate
itself. If you don't let it calibrate itself(about 15 seconds) it will
keep trying. Otherwise it should settle down after doing it once.

I have also noticed that hooking up an external mouse makes it worse.
When I disable the trackpoint from ThinkPad Utilities, the external
mouse seems to settle down and work OK. Some external mouses seem to
work OK without disabling the Trackpoint.

Well, since I reported the creeping cursor with the TP tracker point
thingy, I plugged in a REAL mouse and the cursor is now positively LEAPING
across the screen on it's own. I am sure I have the latest BIOS etc. I
would really appreciate some help with this!
All the best,
Chris
