While there is some validity in this line of thought, if that was the case
I'd have thought we'd have seen at least mention of someone dabbling with
it, which we haven't (to the best of my knowledge).
One of the reasons I bought my 755 was because it had the MWave,
specifically for the 28.8 modem. While I would like to run Linux (or
Solaris) on it, I can't justify buying a PCMCIA modem just so I can run my
OS of choice... If I thought I could do it, I'd try to reverse engineer
the driver, but I have found that I can not yet walk on water.
