Re: Does Solaris support mwave..? (fwd)
I too have been waiting for someone to write some mwave drivers, and I've
searched the net exhastively for any inkling of interest in the subject.
I remember reading a post by someone who said they used to work at ibm on
the mwave stuff, and that it would be more trouble than it's worth to
write mwave drivers for linux.
I patiently waited for the mwave drivers to be written by some generous
hacker/guru, saying that I could not justify buying a PCMCIA modem, but as
I tired of the MS stuff I gave in, bought a 33.6 PCMCIA modem and haven't
been happier!
On my 755CD, I noticed you can't use the mwave modem when the mwave sound
drivers have Q-sound enabled. It crashes the modem, so now I can use the
modem and the sound full tilt.
I only use win95 about 1 or 2 times a month
