I agree whole heartedly.  This has been discussed before, but I buy on the
Internet and sell in the local papers.  I have bought a new Thinkpad every
6 months or so and sold the old for next to what I paid on the internet. 
For instance, 5 months ago I bought a TP760E 133MHz for $3,000 and sold my
TP760C 90MHz for $3,000.  Not bad for a zero cost upgrade :)

This is the only way I can afford my nerdy vice.
