Strange files in root directory

My 755CE contains three hidden files in the root directory:

Ea data. sf
Syslevel.tp
Wp root. sf

I believe that these files were shipped with the original
installation.  What are they for, and can they be safely deleted?
The first file is over 6 megabytes, and I would like to recover the
space.
