I was recently trying to buy the IBM's 2.1G hard disk drive for my 760CD from a reseller. But he tried to convince me that I would be better off buying a third party 2.0G disk made by a company called CMF. The prices quoted were $1184 for the IBM 2.1G disk v/s $919 for the CMF 2.0G disk. Has anyone had any positive/negative experience with using third party disks on 760CD? Are there any other third party disk choices besides CMF? Other than the price, what are some other pro's and con's of using third party disks? I am sure using them would surely have an effect on the machine warranty!
