I recently spent some time investigating hard disk drives for the TP701cs. PS Solutions (972) 783-6996 only sell caddies - US$60. I spoke to Scott, who was very helpful. However, I did not buy because I wanted a complete drive. Microsense (California), 1-800-544-4252 (also 1-619-632-8623). I bought a 1080MB drive with caddy for US$599. The first two drives would not format correctly, the third drive they fomatted for me and it works fine. Mark, their technical person, (at 1-808-826-4105) could not have been more helpful. Tenex (Toronto, Canada), (416)-291-5894. A 1080MB Toshiba drive cost Can$386 and caddy Can$79. I bought this in the midst of my receiving the drives from Microsense. The drive formatted and works fine. I also found out who NOT to deal with - Kulin Enterprises Ltd., 1-800-304-0036 (or (416)-674-8230). At the beginning of my search for a hard drive I bought from them an IBM drive. It turned out to be the wrong model for the 701.
