I have a 760CD. (P90, 32mb, Warp4). OS/2 Warp4 comes with IBM's VoiceType product free. I believe you can buy a win95 version for about $500 aussie dollars. I use VoiceType daily. It makes voice control of the entire OS/2 system (voice navigation commands) easy. You can even use voice navigation commands on programs not designed for voice operation, as well as non-OS/2 programs. I also use VoiceType daily for voice dictation. Dictating letters, reports, etc. I can dictate directly to appropriate applications, or via a dictation window to almost any other application. The only complication I found is that the automatic noise cancelling headset microphone (also supplied free with OS/2 Warp) for use with VoiceType would not work with a ThinkPad. For whatever reason IBM has designed the ThinkPad such that an external microphone cannot draw its power from the ThinkPad via tha mic.jack. You need to buy an external battery box for the microphone so it will work properly. If you don't already have a microphone try to buy one that doesn't need to draw power from the microphone jack, or one with a separate power supply (battery box or whatever). Before I bought an appropriate headset I just used the ThinkPad's built-in microphone. It is not designed for dictation work (not unidirectional, or active noise cancelling) but it worked pretty well in a quiet environment. Overall, I am more than pleased with my system running IBM's OS/2 version of voicetype on my OS/2 Warp4 system.
