Greeting Fellow ThinkPaders....
Now it is my turn to share with you. I trust this will be useful to all.
I have gotten so much from this list that now I am pleased to reciprocate.
I have now, successfully, transferred a Win95 system from a "smaller" hard
drive to a 2.1 GB hard drive for the 750, 755 and 760 series of ThinkPads.
As the 750s and 755s are not capable of having 2 hard drives in 1 case, it
poses challenging problems. Long file names also come into play.
760s with their 2 hard drive capability, pose no problems that are not faced
with a "stand-alone" system. You set up a C: and D: drives and use XCOPY
from a DOS window with specific switch settings.
I would be pleased to e-mail anyone who would like my detailed instructions
for the 755s and 750s. Or the 760s for that matter.
Hugh
