Should thinkpads be used at large angles?

Greetings,

I am bringing to market an accessory for laptops and I need to know if the use of it
will have a detrimental effect on the laptop itself. It would be very useful to have
the answer to this before I market in mass quantities ! This discussion group
undoubtedly has members with the expertise that could address my concerns. I would
also appreciate being provided with contact information for other individuals who would
be able to comment intelligently on my question.

I own a company called Laidback We R Inc. that manufactures a table that gives the
laptop user one more thing to feel good about. We have designed this, prototyped it and
filed for patent and trademark protection. Its a bed table for laptops or more
correctly for their users. I have personally used my laptop on the table for over half
a year -- a most comfortable half year I might add. I have not encountered any
mechanical problems or the like because of the orientation the table requires of the
laptop.

My question to you, the people in the know, is related to using your brand of laptop at
the roughtly 45 degree angle required by my table. Is this orientation in anyway a
problem for the inner workings of the laptop. Will the moving parts wear out more
quickly or perform improperly due to this orientation. My own experience says, no but
it would be comforting to have experts make the same claim.

Take a look at the table on the modest homepage I have designed at:

This should give you an idea of the product use and just how laptops will be placed
while on it.

Let me know what you think of the product as well any effect it could have on hardware
performance for your laptops.

Thanks for your time,

Douglas Martell
