If anyone tried to contact me about my PS2 command gone, I have changed

Sorry about that, but I work weird shifts and had to to it today or wait
about 2 weeks.
Anyway here's an update on my problem.
I took my laptop to an office eqiptment repair shop and they couldn't even
fix it!
here's the current status. The guy told me he physically unhooked the 2400
modem but the winsock program still won't allow me to use my PCMCIA modem.
I haven't used it yet, but he said that it will detect the modem but won't
connect to my server.
He said it was like the modem just didn't work.
I am using Internet Explorer by the way.
Any ideas?
