Refurbished Thinkpads/ How to claim warranty?
Hi,
I just bought one from a reseller. The box it came in says that it is a
reworked system. It came without a manual though :(. The right hand side
track point button does not work :(. Apart from that, it seems to be OK.
Now, how can I claim a warranty for it and the services that come with it.
I received no warranty documents, but only a registration card. Was I
shafted as far as warranty is concerned or can I still claim it?
It was cheap, $975 including shipping (TP 701CS), and the reseller claimed
that I could get a 1-year or 3-year warranty for it depending on the mood
of the IBM bureocracy...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
