The HD connector is "standard" as far a 2.5' ide is concerned. The adapter part to connect to the TP is their own little invention. Somewhere in the IBM web page (easy to find if they ever fix their search engine) you can find pinouts and master slave jumper positions. NOTE: the earlier ones up to and including(?) the 540MB had a different default for master/slave. The 2.5' to 3.5' adapters have the power connector on the circuit board.
