I turned the COM2 port off on my Thinkpad 340 as Jeffrey Schwartz said to.
My intensions was to turn the 2400 modem off.
That seemed to get my over that hurdle.
Now here's my next problem. I installed the setup software that came with my
modem but later erased it off Windows 3.11 .
I tried to re-install it but it , is very picky.
It is now saying that there are no available com ports. Trouble is, I am not
using an COM ports!!
I had been using a "dekstop" modem which I had plugged into the COM1 port
but I am trying to setup the PCMCIA modem as of right now.
First question:
In the setup "F1 during bootup", I could only find COM1 and COM2 ports in
the BIOS.
How do I "clear" the other two ports.
