I just got my replacement standby battery from IBM Parts and install it. Battery hot swap in suspend mode is now working in Windows 95 and DOS. Apparently, the original standby battery in my 701 is dead. My machine used to lose power if I switch battery in suspend mode which the manual claims I can do. I didn't bother to send in my machine to Easyserve because I need it on a day to day basis. I just ordered the battery for $6. It even came with an extra standby battery door. It did take 2 weeks. Hope this will help those that have problems with hot swapping their 701 battery. My machine configuration is a 701C with 24MB RAM and 1.44GB 3LP drive(upgraded). Eddy Lin
