I believe the standard hard drive size for the thinkpad 35x, 36x, 75x, and
76x series is 17mm.  
One thing you will have to watch out though is that the pin configurations
for hard drives of 2.1GB and higher are different from those below 2.1GB.
They will work in the caddies, its just that they are connecting different
pins to set it to a master or slave IDE hard drive. So to use a 2.1GB hard
drive in a 540MB caddy you will have to bend one of the pins on the hard
drive over to the side.
