I have a TP701C that came with Win3.11 which I want to upgrade to Win95.
(I've been "Fixin" to" do this for 6 months now....)
As a first step, I went out to the IBM site and downloaded the BIOS upgrade,
and some other upgrade files - four in all. Did that 6 weeks ago or so,
and they sat on my desktop system until now, when school is about finished
for the term.
Yesterday, I decided to download these four files onto 3.5" diskies for
loading onto my TP701. But when I switched to the subdirectory where the
files have been stored, my Norton AntiVirus software went bananas! It
flagged all four TP701 upgrade files as having Viruses - Werewolf, I think
it was. At this point, rather than letting Norton repair the files, I
zapped all four files.
I have two questions:
1) To whom at IBM should a warning be directed about viruses in those 701
upgrade files?
2) Is there anywhere else I can download those files so I can go upgrade to
Win95 on my 701?
