RE: weird stuff vs. t-zone
What's really weird (no pun intended) is goinf from Fry's across the street to T-zone, I mean frys is frys, but tzone is so much cleaner and nicer. And being able to check out the little Toshiba Libretto is groovy. (2lb p75
color laptop the size of a bulky vcr tape.)
Weird stuff, by the way is still in existance, so there is no reason to miss it, try thier web site at :
http://www.wierdstuff.com I wasn't so impressed when I checked them out, but they have bidding on lots every tuesday, so I was thinking aobut checking that out.
But that's not why I'm writing this, if you are in the area, HSC near the central expressway is a very groovy place to get both the surplussy stuff you had at weird stuff and more modern and new components. I thought you'd like to know.

Subject: weird stuff vs. t-zone
Yes it's correct, T-zone is in Weird Stuff's old building.
T-zone has its own kind of weirdness (it's the only US store of
a big Japanese chain) but it's a very good store.
I don't miss Weird Stuff much. Most of the stuff there was too
old and clunky to be interesting. There is still Action Computers/
Surplus across the street and Curtis Trading in Milpitas, and another
big place like that up towards the SF airport.
