Use Win/95, and you should have now problem. Go to the 701 setup (Fn+F1) and set the external port to com-2. You should have no problem. If you have Win/95 installed and it does not work, go to (right click) My Computer, properties, device manager, and remove the Comm ports. When you restart Win/95 it will find the Comm ports and turn them on.
