Airport baggage scanners

Has anyone had any experience with their Thinkpad at airports?  Is it ok to
let it go through the carry-on baggage scanner?  If not, what do you have to
do with it?  Also, does it set off the metal detectors?  I am taking my 365XD
on its first trip to Florida and I am leaving Friday at 6 AM, so please let
me know asap!
