Re: Reliability of TP 560?

I ordered mine the day it was announced (the 120Mhz 810MB 12.1TFT version).
A year later, the only problems experienced was a flaky hard drive and a
systemboard error. Easyserve replaced both on separate occasions with quick
2 day turnaround. Well, actually, the first time, they held it an extra day
to replace a cracked hinge (I didnt notice it, but they called to get my ok
first). They even replaced a screw for the memory cover that I had lost.
All for free. I carry my TP560 around quite a bit. My business relies on
it.
Stay away from locally authorized repair places. They rarely have the parts
and expertise. (A TP500 took over a month to fix! Too many excuses.)

Subject: Reliability of TP 560?

Now that we had a lot of comments on the 701 quality I'd like
to know what the long-time users of the TP560 think about the
reliability of their machine.

I am still looking for a replacement for my 701 but I still
don't know if the 560 were a good choice. It seems to me that
the larger footprint makes it more `vulnerable' in whatever
bag or rucksack it happens to be in...
