I've been watching 760 prices. I have found the 760 ED for $4099. Then I saw the latest Computer Shopper: NWCD (NEW WORLD COMPUTERS DIRECT) 120 MCGAW DRIVE, EDISON, NJ 08837 800.655.6923 908.417.9717 VOICE 908.417.9534 FAX They advertise: 760xl $4499 760ed$2999 *** 16/2.1/800x600 TFT disp/ 6x cd/28.8 mwave modem/pci/hardware mpeg etc Their web site [ www.nwcd.com ] has the 760 EL for $4399 A quick search of DejaNews shows that they tend to follow the "NYC Camera Shop" model of customer intimidation (I mean relations) and that they do deal in some "refurbished" merchandise. However, I found little outright damnation, which is pretty good for net news ... What do you think ? Is a refurbished ED worth $3000 ? Would it have a 3 yr warranty ? Dave
