When I shut down I don't get the screen that says "it's safe to shut off
your computer" It just appears to shut down. This occurs on my ThinkPad 755cse laptop where I
installed win95 over thet top of win3.1.Any ideas will be appreciated. This does not occur on my sesktop . Is this a ThinkPad problem or a win95 problem?

Cool usage, by the way, of fonts & colors--but I fear that most people on the list don't have E-mail software like Eudora 3.0 that supports it.

At any rate, what you describe is *not* a "problem" at all--it just means your ThinkPad fully supports power-saving features (APM or whatever), thus instead of saying, "You can turn off the machine now", it just does it. Its a great feature--means you don't have to wait around to physically throw the switch.

Some desktops, mostly just newer ones, also have APM capability built-in to the BIOS, and they too will just automatically shut off rather than showing you that screen.
