Speaking of which...I got my hands on a CD-ROM with the latest (OSR2)
version of Win 95 (that has FAT32, etc.) and tried to install it--first on
my Desktop machine since in the event of total failure, that's easier to
simply restore everything from tape.
Well...it wouldn't let me. It keeps saying "This machine already has an
operating system installed", etc. Basically, its designed in such a way
that at appears to preclude it being installed as an "upgrade" of any sort,
working only on a fresh, virginal system with no OS on it.
Is there any way around that? Can I start it with a switch or something
that will tell it to install anyway as an upgrade or perhaps at least as a
seperate installation in a directory of its own?
Thanks in advance for your insights...
