No problem.  This evening I had the same problem with Windows NT, while trying to put the Windows 3.x 
version on there, and connect to the OS/2 version on my TP701cs.  You error probably says it cannot find 
"PCOMM.386", right?  You can edit SYSTEM.INI, and under the [386Eh] section, you should see:
blah, blah, blah
blah, blah, blah

[386Eh]
device=c:\tranxit\pcomm.386
blah, blah, blah
blah, blah, blah

So you can either take out that line, or put a ; (semicolon) in front, which tells Windows that it's a "remark".
