Re: larger hard drive for tp 560 ?

Richard,

The TP560 can take the 2.1gb drive. It can take a non-IBM drive. We have been
placing Toshiba drives in IBM systems for years. We have complete upgrade
kits that will walk you through the install and comes with everything you
need, including install instructions. You will lose the IBM warranty on the
drive, but you will pick up our warranty. We support all upgrades we sell.
Please contact me or visit our website if you have any other needs.

Best Regards,

I have a Thinkpad 560 with a 1 gb drive and would like to upgrade to
a 2 gb drive. Will non-IBM drives work properly? If so, which ones?
And will I be able to install a new drive myself? Will this void the
warranty?

thanks.
