continuing on similar vein as others....
i'm planning on getting a toshiba mk2103mav thinline 2.1gb drive (as
many seem to be doing) and was curious if there was something useful
to do with the 810mb drive that is currently hiding under the
cd-rom.... it would be nice to be able to use this in addition to the
new 2.1gb drive (i'd have liked the new 3+gb thinline from ibm but
expect that when it finally comes available it won't be affordable.
does anyone know about somehow adapting a hard drive to the cd-rom
connector so that it can be used in lieu of the cd-rom? is there an
aftermarket for used 2.5" drives? is it useful to have a shelf-spare?
i'll probably get the 2.1gb drive anyway---i need the portable
space---and may get a scsi pcmcia card for while i'm at home (spare
2.1gb 3.5" drive).
