My 755CE started out with a (way too small) 340Meg drive. It was almost immediately replaced by an 810 (also, eventually, too small) from Sigma, which worked flawlessly. A few weeks ago, I replaced the 810 with a 2.1 Gig from Simple. This drive also just plugged in and worked with no problem. (Naturally, I had to install OS & SW.) BTW, I bought the Sigma drive direct (using the ThinkPad mailing list discount) and bought the Simple drive from Computer Discount Warehouse (mail order place located practically in my back yard). -- Ron.
