As far as I understand the TV tuner bypasses the onboard Video chip and talks direct to the
display ......Via the Ramdac???? . Therefore no external display :-{
All this is conjecture ....wait till I get the damn thing (grin).

A color CRT should work, but it's just that the
refresh rate on DSTN and STN (mono) screens
that creates ghosting and bluriness of images.
