Grant and all-
I use the Pentax PocketJet. It's the size of a small pencil
box, and only 1.1 lbs. with battery, and the only disadvantages
are that it requires thermal paper (you can get the flat sheets
from Pentax and some suppliers), but each sheet costs only
8 cents each, no matter what's on it. I have had it for almost
2 years now, and have even dropped it on a tile floor that my
701 would have never survived, and it only made a chip in the
case, and a lens for one of the LED status indicators fell out
(I found it soon after!). It's also HP LaserJet IIp compatible, and
support original LaserJet emulation. Check it out. When I was first
looking for a portable printer, I thought about the HP 340, but it's very
bulky, sort of noisy, and the cartridges are EXPENSIVE (for how
long they last!).
I think their web site is www.pentax.com, but I don't know for
sure, since I've never been there.
