I am looking for the "OPTIMUM" configuration for the ThinkPad 500 for use under Win95, the IBM site has the same old stuff (nothing helpful). Mainly in the area of Video Configurations & getting sound to play through the PC Speaker. Maybe someone who owns a TP500 has a similair setup to mine: My TP 500 is configured (sort of) like this. 12MB RAM 540 MB HDD IBM Home & Away Ethernet /14.4 SYSTEM COMMANDER ..WIN 95 ..DOS 6.22 ..RED HAT LINUX 4.2 I also wnat to know if Metro X is useable with the TP500, and how to configure X-windows (period) for the TP500, I have seen some of the docs on the Net, but just can't figure my way around. Also, what is the recommended swap file size for a TP500? I currnetly have my LINUX system setup as 75mb & 300mb. Any suggestions, comments, advice are welcome..... josh jg@izap.com
