What brand of mouse and keyboard?  I have sucessfully been able
to get a genuine MS Mouse (original) and Cirque GlidePoint to work, as well
as a Epson, Compaq (I think), and, of course, IBM PS/2 keyboards to work.

BTW, the "red push thing" is formally called the TrackPoint (II on older machines,
III on newer machines).
