Occasionally [due to Virii or bad software] the master boot record can
become corupted. Using fdisk /mbr re-writes it with a valid MBR. It has
saved me a couple of times.
Is it properly documented yet? It used to be one of the many "secret"
undocumented tricks that could occasioanlly work wonders.
I have no idea whether the OS/2 fdisk can do it or not.
