I have found that the Winbook caps work OK in the Trackpoint III's, though they are the gummy rubber kind. IBM charges like $5 for three, and will charge a flat rate on shipping, kinda dumb to spend like $7.50 for shipping! I bought a bunch (like 5 packs) and I rarely seem to change them, like once every 6 months. BTW: The new IBM Trackpoint mouse is nice. I like it better than the MS cl*t mouse. The Trackpoint III there however is a ROUND stud. So your Thinkpad caps won't work on it. Only one spare given with the $60 mouse, and the cap is violet...how pretty....as the mouse's stud and cap is a bit smaller than the Thinkpad's, I wonder if that will be the new incantation. Dennis
