701 chargers and batteries etc.

Hello all,

Just bought a second 701C/720/16 but it has a dead nicad and the larger
charger/ac supply which I hate.  Has anyone looked into prices/availability
on NiMH batteries and the ac adaptor/charger with the movable plug?

A second question from a pal who says his 701C/24 meg finds the trackpoint
arrow frozen when reopening the screen after having suspended (close lid).
Mine doesn't do this ever...oh, he finds this while using Word 6 and Win 311.
