Normally you'd think this is a mouse driver problem. But the 701 uses a hardware mouse - Windows only reports the mouse position to the video card, the card draws the mouse. So what could be happening is the graphic of the mouse is not being redrawn after a resume, even though the pointer is really there. Try "moving" the mouse around and clicking to bring up a menu or highlight something. I've often gotten past this problem in Win3.1 by slowly "moving" the mouse past a frame or something that changes the shape of the mouse pointer. This seems to refresh the mouse pointer graphic, making it visible again. Dunno if an updated video driver will help. -- John H. Kim kim@mak.com
