RE: [TP340] Re: Thinkpad 340 questions



I have a 340 with 8 Mb total running w95. I am using the w95 "Plus"
Drivespace 3 compression with no problems - it doesn't seem any
slower... but it's pretty slow already.
I would suggest keeping 20-30 Mb free for swapping at all times. I have
Plus's System Agent set to perform housekeeping if it's idle for a hour:
 - thoroughly Scan drive
 - Compress files 
 - defrag drive
I also have a dead battery. But the computer's very convenient to use in
bed.
