My IBM PS/Note 425 (model (2618) laptop's BIOS SETUP informs me that the
battery is "NOT INSTALLED", with NO option to change that setup. This
happens with TWO new batteries. Laptop works OK off the power pack, but no
green battery charge light.  It appears that the battery is getting voltage
and charging, but the laptop doesn't think so. Battery contacts appear
clean, and no other problems with this unit.
