760xd speaker volume

The speaker volume on my 760xd appears quite low and difficult to hear
even though the Win95 volume control is at maximum.  No problem when
using docking station, only when undocked.
Is there anything I can do to raise the volume.  The slide switch on the
keyboard is also at maximum.
