Take a look at http://www.wwsi.com/linux-tp.html. There is a person there
who has gotten it to work on a TP755CE. He writes :
"I installed the Slackware from CD through my docking station with an
External CD-Rom. The main problem I had with X was the video
configuration. The 3.3 Slackware comes with XF86Setup, which is an X based
program for setting up the display. It worked fine, but the config files
it made didn't. I through trial and error found refresh rates for
the internal display, but to keep compatability with monitors, I just
included them in a range. The ranges are: HorizSync 31.5-35.4 and
VertRefresh 60-70. ..."
