I have installed Slackware Linux on my Thinkpad. During the
setup process, I set /dev/ttyS0 as /dev/mouse. I changed the
mouse to different devices but can't get the mouse to work.
I don't have my X working yet, but gpm should show the cursor
on the console. What am I missing for the mouse setup?
Any advice or pointers appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

ps - My system is 760EL.
