I want a completely consistent monitor/display situation wherever I am. I type very fast, and adjusting to a new keyboard takes time. ALso I really don't like the big diffrerence between a notebook monitor (down low and tilted) to a CRT (typically higher up and not tilted). All a matter of taste of course, but for me the key thing about a notebook is to provide a completely consistent environment (I do plug into the Ethernet if one is around, but even that I find an annoying difference between being in the office and on the road).
