Are you sure your kernel has support for the PS/2 mouse? I don't have my
thinkpad here so I have to guess from my memory but you should see the
driver in /proc/devices if it's there.

Something is badly broken here. You explicitly supply tgui9440agi, but the
X server say "supplied 9430dgi"?

By the way folks I am leaving this discussion since I am hardly
using Linux an my TP any longer... My TP/Linux pages are likely to be
discontinued soon - except if someone shows me where to get a Lotus
Notes 4.5.x client which runs with iBCS2. The Win16 client with Wabi
breaks database replication...
