I had a system software problem yesterday; so, I decided to try reinstalling Windows 95B/OSR2 on my Thinkpad 760CD. At the same time I was curious about which piece of addon software was causing problems with exit from dos to win. When I added the MWAVE DSP & modem software the system stopped being able to exit from dos to windows and again reboots to the bios boot promt. Anyone have a cure? Also, it was very strange before the reinstallation, my external CDROM drives (Toshiba and Philips) connected to an Adaptec SlimSCSI card started appearing on my desktop as hard drive icons rather than as CDROM drives. But my Control Panel==>System==>Devices display said they were recognized as CDROM drives. Any clue how to fix this?
