Re: COM1 remains turned off in W95



I had the same problem with my 765d.  I fixed it by the following:
Remove the serial port from the device manager.  Reboot and go into the
bios setup and initialize the thinkpad. Reboot and that should do it.
You will need to reset all your other options when you do this.
