For cheap external CDrom drives, it is also worth taking a look at Insight's
'Blowout Search' section (this is where I got my IBM 'flying saucer' CD400;
they often have Sony 2x pcmcia for $40 and Panasonic 4x for $130 - you'd have
to check with the manufacturer for OS2 compat). Anyway, go to
www.insight.com, click on 'specials' then on 'discontinued and returned' then
on 'blowout search', then do a 'floodlight' search for either 'external
cdrom' or 'pcmcia cdrom'.
